Choice and installation

To determine the proper size of your fireplace, you can use a simple rule of thumb. In Europe, for a room with a standard ceiling height of 2.4 meters, you need about 60 to 70 watts per square meter.

For example: For a 50 square meter living room, you need 50 x 70 = 3500 watts, or 3.5 kW. So with a 3.5 kW fireplace, you can basically heat only this room, provided your house is well insulated. Keep this in mind when choosing the right fireplace for your space!

No, you should turn to one of our official distributors.

No, this is impossible. Wood fires and gas fires are designed according to a completely different concept. And in addition, the standards on gas are very strict and would require a separate inspection for each case, resulting in enormous costs.

We always recommend having the installation done by one of our authorized dealers. If you do choose to do the installation yourself or hire another contractor, it is important that you follow the manual and technical instructions carefully. M-Design is not liable for problems caused by improper installation or lack of knowledge. If you subsequently wish to engage a service technician from us, this will be for a fee.
